COMMENT
This is a shearling coat from the 2004-2005 Autumn/Winter collection, which marked the final act of Tom Ford’s revival of Gucci, a story still told today due to its spectacular achievements. At the time, I was still young, and owning Gucci leather was not something I could realistically imagine. I had a strong admiration for the collections of the two fashion houses designed by Tom Ford, and I clearly remember trying to recreate the atmosphere by rearranging the clothes I already owned. I was fortunate enough to acquire this coat in recent years.
華々しい実績によって今も語り継がれる、トムフォードによるグッチ再生劇の最終幕となった2004-2005秋冬コレクションのムートンコートです。当時私はまだ若く、グッチのレザーを手にすることなど現実的に考えられないような境遇でした。トムフォードが手掛ける2メゾンのコレクションに強い憧れを抱いていて、手持ちの服をアレンジしてなんとか雰囲気を近づけて着ていたのをよく覚えています。このコートは近年になってたまたま手に入れる機会に恵まれたものです。
