This is a leather long gilet from RAF SIMONS in the 1998AW, which was at the peak of its popularity in the early days in Japan. Everything is cut off except for the seams on the back. When I bought it, I had a hard time using it, but it’s actually an unexpectedly useful item. Raf Simons often sets a long, vest-like liner for outerwear, and using this item brings out that atmosphere. I guess that’s what the item is for in the first place. Great for tailored jackets and MA-1.

日本において、最初期における人気が絶頂であった1998年秋冬シーズンのラフシモンズのレザーロングジレです。背面の縫い合わせ以外はすべてカットオフ仕上げです。買ったときは使い方に困りましたが、実は案外便利なアイテムです。ラフシモンズはアウターに丈の長いベスト風のライナーをセットすることが多く、このアイテムを使うことでその雰囲気が出せるんですよね。そもそもがそのためのアイテムなのでしょうけれども。テーラードジャケットに、MA-1にと活躍します。
