初めてアメリカをテーマとした（らしい）コレクションを披露した、2000年春夏のラフシモンズ。ボマージャケットや幾何学柄のカットソー、白いチェスターコートが印象的なコレクションでしたが、タイトなサイジングのクルーネックニットも多くありました。このシーズンのイエローが印象的で、2021年春夏にてイエローのニットが登場したときには「欲しい！」と思ってしまったものです。ラフでイエローといえば2000年春夏と2002年春夏が印象によく残っています。ミントグリーンは1999年春夏ですよね。さて、今回掲載するニットも「幾何学柄」という観点では2000年春夏らしいと言えるかもしれませんが、個人的にこの柄で想起されるコレクションは2000年秋冬シーズンだったりします。ただ、このニットの首周りを見ると、若かりし頃ラフシモンズに憧れたことを思い出します。特徴的とは言えないかもしれないのですが、個人的に印象によく残っているのです。
2000SS, RAF SIMONS presented his first American-themed collection. Bomber jackets, geometric patterned cut-and-sews, and white chester coats were impressive collections, but there were also many crew neck knits with tight sizing. This season’s yellow one is impressive, and when the yellow knit appeared in 2021SS, I thought I want it. Yellow was impressive for RAF SIMONS in 2000SS and 2002SS. 1999SS is mint green. By the way, the knitwear featured in this article may be said to be 2000SS from the viewpoint of geometric patterns, but personally, the collection that comes to mind with this pattern is 2000AW. However, when I look at this knitted neckline, I remember admiring RAF SIMONS when I was young. It may not be very distinctive, but it left a strong impression on me.
